Danish West Indies 1856: 3 cents carmine (Facit 1a), a used example with white gum, just clear at base and with large margins on three sides showing portion of adjoining stamp at top, on 1857 cover to St. Croix tied by circular five ring mute handstamp in black. "CHRISTIANSTED" despatch cds at left (May 11) in black and reverse with ST. THOMAS arrival cds (May 12). File fold well away from the adhesive and slight staining to the base of the cover.
