1866 (September 17): Cover to Amsterdam franked with 1857 3 sk. gray lilac horizontal pair, 1867-8 8 sk. carmine rose, each tied by crisp Bergen cds, red oval "ZEEBRIEF / ROTTERDAM" transit mark (Sep 22), reverse with two Amsterdam receivers, manuscript "30" due mark in black, light wrinkles typical on this flimsy paper, an attractive franking, being one of only a handful of 14 skilling ship rate covers to the Netherlands, and a scarce usage of the Oscar 3 sk. pair.
