Lots & Collections 1884/2017: An accumulation of stamps, covers, and cards, predominantly from China, Hong Kong, and mail into China, including from Japan, is available. The collection is mostly used with a select number of unused items, featuring a good selection of early picture postcards with frankings to the front. Notable items include an 1895 cover from Shanghai to Austria with a French colonies 5 c. 'CHINE' overprint. While the condition is mixed in places, it is generally fine, making it an interesting group. The stock of modern Chinese issues from 1985 to 2017 is mainly in Yearbooks and on some stock cards. This material is clean and overall in fine condition. Additionally, there is a fine mint and used collection of Macau stamps from 1884 to 1920, housed in a small album. This collection contains many better items, including approximately one hundred stamps in Reis currency, featuring three unused 1884 stamps: 200 r. orange, 50 r. green, and many other values. The quality is rather mixed, so a close inspection is recommended. The collection has a very high catalogue value.
