1946 Potato Stamp Essay 1d red Penguin, single, plus left marginal blk of 4, plus 2015 Facsimile M/Sheet. Issue made by Allan Crawford to try & convince the Postal Authorities to issue stamps. He printed sheets so that they would be available when the authority was given. The stamps were denominated in potatoes (4 to 1d) as there was a currency shortage after WWII. VF fresh MNH.
