 Lot 1607 - großbritannien europe - HWPH Historisches Wertpapierhaus AG Auction #45Wigan Gas Meter and Fitting Company; 18.04.1855, 1 (Gründer)Aktie á £ 2.10.0, #114, 20,2 x 22,2 cm, schwarz, weiß, papiergedecktes Siegel mit Abbildung eines Gaslichtes, Knickfalten. 1822 wurde die Wigan Gaslight Company gegründet und ein Werk in der Chapel Lane, entlang der Bahnanlagen und des Kanals errichtet. 1855 kam mit der Wigan Gas Meter and Fitting Company ein zweites Unternehmen dazu, welches ebenfalls von der Chapel Lane aus operierte. Durch ein vom Parlament verabschiedetes Gesetz (Act of Parliament) wurde die Wigan Gas Meter and Fitting Company 1861 dann in Wigan Gas Company umbenannt, während die frühere Wigan Gaslight Company abgewickelt und all ihre Vermögenswerte auf die neue Firma übertragen wurden. 18 April 1855, 1 (Founders) Share of £ 2.10.0, #114, 20.2 x 22.2 cm, black, white, paper covered seal showing a gas light, folds. The Wigan Gaslight Company was established in 1822 by Deed of Settlement. The works were built on Chapel Lane alongside the railway and the canal. In 1855, a second company, the Wigan Gas Meter and Fitting Company, was formed and operated from the same Chapel Lane works. In 1861, the Wigan Gas Meter and Fitting Company was incorporated as the Wigan Gas Company by an Act of Parliament.
