1911-D. NGC graded AU-55. A choice example for the grade and mostly lustrous, save for the highpoints of the design. The 1911-D has a low original mintage of 30,100 pieces and has always been considered a scarce issue, even in circulated grades. The present coin is a pleasing high grade example with just a touch of wear. The surfaces show few abrasions, and both sides radiate an abundant amount of remaining frosty mint luster (PCGS # 8869) . Estimated Value $2,300 - 2,400.
