1892-CC. PCGS graded MS-64. CAC Approved. This is a fully lustrous Choice Uncirculated example, with largely brilliant centers that are surrounded with deep russet-gold toning at the peripheries on each side. A few scattered scuffs and grazes are present, mostly on the reverse, as are typical for the assigned grade, however, none are individually notable. The 1892-CC is a fairly high-mintage date for Carson City, more than 1.3 million coins, but it was not as well-represented in the GSA sales as were its counterparts from the early 1880s. The result is this date is now much more difficult to locate in the higher Mint State grades (PCGS # 7214) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

1885-S. NGC graded MS-65 Prooflike. A very early strike of the dies that is so strong, it appears "basined" on each side. The nicely reflective fields are somewhat concave and the deeply frosted devices contrast nicely. There are no singular marks worthy of note. A glittering snow-white gem example that is conditionally rare at this level. Pop 8; none finer at NGC. (PCGS # 7165) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.

1891-CC VAM-3. Top 100 Variety. Spitting Eagle. PCGS graded MS-64. Bursting with brilliant frosted luster, this gleaming near-Gem reveals a bold to sharp strike in all areas. The surfaces are quite smooth for an example of this conditionally challenging Carson City Mint Morgan dollar issue. Easily one of the most familiar of the VAM varieties featuring a mint-made die chip near the eagle's beak (PCGS # 7206) .
Estimated Value $1,100 - 1,200.

1890-O. PCGS graded MS-65 Deep Mirror Prooflike PQ. CAC Approved. A great looking DMPL dollar featuring a modest amount of antique-gold and sea-blue colorations surrounding the borders. Bright, highly reflective luster glistens from the fields and the devices are frosty on this well presented and sharply struck specimen. This date is highly elusive as a Deep Mirror Prooflike in any grade, let alone a full Gem. Soft-edged devices and details throughout the centers are typical on this New Orleans date, however, a very small percentage of the year's production is found with enough convincing detail to be called "bold" and this is one such coin. Worth a close examination by the perspective buyer. Pop 1; 1 finer in 66. (PCGS # 97201) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
