Die Gesellschaft wurde 1883 zum Betrieb einer regionalen Eisenbahnlinie in Alexandria gegründet. 1961 wurde diese von Ägypten verstaatlicht und die Gesellschaft aufgelöst. The company was formed in 1883 to build a local line in Alexandria. In 1961 the line was nationalized by Egypt and the company was dissolved.
