1969, Israel Peace (Shalom) 100 Lirot Gold Proof. This 21st Anniversary of Independence coin is dedicated to the search for peace. On one side are the four Hebrew letters spelling out the word for peace: Shalom. On the reverse is the biblical verse concerning the death of Moses: “And no one knew his burial place,” with a soldier's helmet and an olive branch alongside. Just 12,500 produced by the Dutch Royal Mint for the Government of Israel. Precious metal content is 25 gm. of 800 fine gold; diameter is 33 mm.
