Brazil: 1732-R Joao V (1706-1750), gold 12800 Reis ('Johanna' = Dobra), 2nd type with decorative italic shield, with 1st bust design, Fleur-de-Lis over diagonal edge, Rio de Janeiro mint. 28.74g. KM-148. Nice gEF, slightly weak obv strike but hardly any wear. Impressive short lived large size issue. All examples from Rio de Janeiro being much scarcer than from Minas Gerais, and as they have distinctly different shield design so the difference is not merely the mint mark. (P)
