REPUBLICA DOMINICANA. 1898 (Sept 4). 3c. deep blue postal stationery card used to LUBECK cancelled with date in manuscript and by German West India Line HESPERIA handstamp in purple, fine strike of AUS WESTINDIEN-P.HAMBURG DAMPFER-ÜBER CÖLN cds below. Lubeck arrival cds at left (Sept 23). Rare and very fine usage, only a few cards known to travel by German Paquebot.

A unique item of mail from the French Post Office in Egypt.
