1907: Postal Stationery, 1 d. + 1 d. red reply card, used from Lagos to London, England, dated 11 May 1914, cancelled by the double circle "LAGOS" in black, printed label address, short note to reverse, the reply part unused. Fine and rare examples; one of three recorded used reply cards of the 538 printed (H&G A3). Sold with a Specimen example and an unused of the same card. The "SPECIMEN" in black diagonally on the card and reply part....

1911: Postal Stationery Card, ½ d. green, used uprated with a KGV 1912 ½ d. deep-green, sent from Lagos to Paris, dated 12 March 1913, cancelled by "LAGOS SOUTHERN NIGERIA" single circle in black. Adhesion and disturbance to reverse, otherwise fine. A very scarce card used before 1914; only three recorded (H&G A5). Sold with a another example used to Germany 28 February 1914 from Warri.

1901: Postal Stationery, 1 d. rose-pink envelope, used with Niger Coast 1894 2½ d. blue and a Southern Nigeria 1901 ½ d. black & pale-green (defective), affixed to the flap (Niger Coast SG 1), sent registered, from Forcados to Banbury, England, dated 17 November 1902, cancelled by "REGISTERED FORCADOS" oval, with "R" handstamp alongside. To the back a "REGISTERED BIRMINGHAM" oval, a "BRISTOL" and arrival "BANBURY" all dated 6 December...

1900: The Queen Victoria 2 d. Registration Envelope, 1 d. ultramarine proof envelope, mounted upon 'Appendix' sheet, annotated "Dec 17th 1900 / S. Nigeria / Req. 110/99", sheet measures 201 x 331 mm., folded at bottom horizontally leaving out 65 mm. which has a date and initial in red ink "17/12/00". A very fine and important item.

1903: Registered Stationery, 2 d. ultramarine, size H, used, uprated with 1903 ½ d. grey-black & pale-green, two singles and 1 d. grey-black & carmine, horizontal pair and a single, sent from Sapele to Banbury, England, dated 2 May 1904, cancelled by "REGISTERED SAPELE" oval with additional strike alongside. The rate being the correct postage for letters up to 2 oz. to Britian. The text under the flap is grey and reads: "THOS. DE LA...

1914: Registered Stationery, 2 d. ultramarine, size G, unused, text under flap reading "THOS. DE LA RUE & CO. PATENT", good colour, tone spots, minor soiling, gum wrinkling to flap, otherwise fine. Rare. One of a handful of unused examples. 

1912: Registered Stationery, 2 d. ultramarine, size H, used with 1912 1 d. red, from Akassa to Port Harcourt, dated November 1914, cancelled by "REGISTERED AKASSA" oval, with additional strike alongside and an Akassa registered handstamp numbered in manuscript  "206". To the reverse a "REGISTERED DEGEMA" transit dated 26 November 1914, a "BONNY" double circle dated 29 November 1914 and "PORT HARCOURT NIGERIA" dated 2 December 1914. Some tone...

Postal Orders: 1909: King Edward VII, 5 s. ultramarine, 2 d. overprint type T2T, 2 d. within 5 bars in black, original poundage 1 d., issued at Onitsha, dated 25 October 1909, struck with a single circle "ONITSHA SOUTHERN NIGERIA" in black, to be payable at Paris. A number of creases, some heavy causing tears and imperfections, although very presentable, a rare early survivor; one of four recorded and the only known of this reign and type....

Postal Orders: 1913: King George V, Downey Head, 2 s. blue, 1 d. overprint type T2T, original poundage ½ d., issued at Lagos, dated 3 February 1914, struck with a double circle "LAGOS Southern Nigeria", creased and thin top right corner. Rare, one of two recorded.

1914: Postal Card, ½ d. green, used, Ibadan to Lagos, dated 4 April 1921, cancelled by "IBADAN NIGERIA" double circle, with a "LAGOS NIGERIA" arrival in black alongside dated the same day, small corner crease lower right and surface rub, otherwise fine. A rare example; of seven known used this is the only internally used example, which was the intended use.

1914: Postal Card, ½ d. green, used, Lagos to London, dated 24 April 1919, cancelled by "LAGOS NIGERIA" double circle, with a postage due "T" mark and British "1D / F.B." foreign branch handstamp, a 1 d. postage due adhesive applied and tied on arrival dated 13 May 1919, a fine and rare example; one of seven known used.

1914: Nigerian 1 d. red postal stationery card, used in Cameroon, uprated with Great Britain ½ d and 1 d. and a Nigeria 1 ½ d. adhesives, dated 26 September 1937, the imprint and the Nigeria 1½ d. cancelled by a "TIKO CAMEROONS / UNDER BRITISH MANDATE" circular datestamp in black. The two British stamps cancelled by an indistiguishable small single circle datestamp also in black. A late philatelic usage and rare; the only recorded example...
