1855/63: 4 d. blue on white paper, a fine example with clear to large margins, used on 1861 entire letter from Hannover to the editor of the 'Colesberg Advertiser, Colesberg', tied by CGH obliterator in black. Reverse with double arc HANNOVER despatch cds (Jan 1, 1861) and oval framed COLESBERG arrival in red of the same day, closed spike hole on front panel otherwise in excellent quality. Contents are an advertisement, in English and in Afrikaans, to be placed in the 'Advertiser': "Pound Notice. Confirmed in the Hannover Municipal Pound and will be sold on the 18th of January next if not previously released, a brown mare no marks and a light brown filly, white stripe across the nose." dated at Hannover, 31 Dec 1861.
