1938, 22 September, USA-Canada, Railway incident, cover from Fitchburg, Mass., 20.9. to Montreal/Canada, with bilingual straight line "DAMAGED AND DELAYED BY FIRE" (FIRE crossed out and replaced by "flood") alongside and typewritten endorsement "Train Wrecked and mail held up by flood and derailment at Winchendon Mass. Further delayed by hurricane which followed on Sept. 22nd. Postage stamp was lost. S.H.A." plus cachet mark of Montreal PTT on reverse.
