1856, 40 C orange Napoleon, single franking on envelope from PARIS, 16 AOUT 56, addressed to Liverpool (arrival mark AU 18 1856), forwarded via transatlantic mail to New York with clear dater N.YORK BR.PKT. 5 SEP 26 and subsequently returned to Liverpool (SP 10 1856) in Great Britain. Except a diagonal crease in the stamp a very attractive and unusual transatlantic mail cover.
