1873/79: 1 d. dull rose-lake, wmk. Small Star upright, perf. 11-12 x 14½-15½, a used horizontal strip of three, separated by scissors, perfs. missing at top and small closed tear in third stamp, used on 1874 cover to Chelsea Square, New York tied by two strikes of the "TI" obliterator with double arc TURKS-ISLANDS datestamp at left (Dec 17). The adhesives also tied by "New York / Due 10 / US Currency" cds of receipt (Jan 2, 1875) in black. Reverse with 'St. Thomas' transit cds (Dec 30).
