1908 (July 22): Keyplate £ 1 purple & black on red on chalky paper, wmk. Multiple Crown CA, a used example, Row 4, stamp 5, showing variety "Serif on "G" of POSTAGE", cancelled postally by BLANTYRE squared circle datestamp (Nov 17, 1908) in black leaving the variety clear. Slightest of rubbing but a very scarce stamp Gi = £ 3'750.
