Crown CC, perf. 12½, surcharge Thick Bar (B), an unused vertical strip of seven, from the fourth row down to the tenth row, second stamp showing variety "Surcharge Double", the lower pair from the ninth and tenth row showing variety "Surcharge Omitted" in pair with normal, of wonderful fresh vibrant colour and superb, large part og. Illustrated in Edward Hibbert "St. Helena" on colour plate viii. Only 12 of each these varieties can exist, with a block of twenty housed in the collection of King Charles III, leaving a possible ten examples of each available.
