1863/81: Laureated 1 d. green, perf. 12, a single example used on 1875 Official cover to the Education Department in Melbourne, endorsed "O.H.M.S." at top, tied by "Castlemaine / Victoria" cds (Jan 7) in black. Contents intact with the letter written from Strathlodden, regarding the appointment of a student teacher to Pennyweight Flat School (Pennyweight was on the Casstlemaine gold diggings - it was so named as less than a penny's weight of gold was found there).
