Recess by Desmadryl 1854 (Feb.): 10 c. deep blue, a used example in pair with a diagonally bisected stamp, both touched in various places, tied to entire letter endorsed "Vapor" by two strikes of a black "target" cancel with "COPIAPO 18 JUNIO 55" cds to Valparaiso. An attractive usage to pay the 10 centavos internal letter rate (9-14.4g) plus the additional 5 centavos for letters sent by steamship along the littoral. Cert. Sismondo (2004).
