Auction 333-341 Europe & Overseas Americas (North, Central & South America) - Day 1

1863/64: Eagle issue, collection upon thirteen album pages, comprising unused and used examples, presented in order of issue, a detailed study of each value, including shades and printings, a number of unused multiples and part sheets, noted blocks of four of both ½ r. pale red and 1 c. slate, as well as blocks of fifty-six and sixty-three of the ½ r. orange, also a number on piece and seven covers including the 1 r. blue bisect (2) and 2 r. green bisect (2), both of which have examples on small fragments; noted a combination cover with ½ r. orange and 1 r. blue; additionally three album pages with a number of unused multiples of the 1865/70 ½ r. rose and a further three pages of material yet to be sorted which includes Eagle issues on piece and one cover and a selection of six covers franked with the 1873 ½ r. rose, one which have ten examples on a registered mailing and a used block of twenty-one. Condition varies in places, although mostly fine and a number of better, nicely written-up, overall an excellent specialised assembly.
