Austrian Post Offices 1843/1910: The selection of covers/cards (23) with range of outgoing and incoming prestamp entires with 1843 prepaid cover from Triest to Alexandria with FRANCA in red, covers to Alexandria from Triest at "9" and "15" kreuzer rates, 1852 entire with ALEXANDRIEN cds in black rated "9" kreuzer to Triest and two similar rated "15", double rate entire to Livorno rated "18/18" kr. and taxed "24" upon receipt, 1858/59 covers (4) from Alexandria to Trieste at "15", "18" and "45" kreuzer rates each with ALEXANDRIEN cds in blue; 1857 entires (2) prepaid to Constantinople, one endorsed "by the Steamer Omer Pasha" and one with scarce Alexandria "FRANCO" in blue, 1865 Arms 15 soldi brown, perf. 9½ used to Bohemia tied ALEXANDRIEN cds, incoming 1872 cover with Austria 1867 15 kr. brown pair used from Vienna to Alexandria, 1904 card with Crete 10 c., tied by Egyptian Alexandria cds in transit to Germany, and 1910 cover to Germany bearing 10 h. rose tied "CLEOPATRA / O.E. LLOYD" cds in black. Generally fine, an interesting group.
