1859/1951: Collection housed within a bulging Marini green album starting with Great Britain Post Office cancellations through Victoria, Edward VII, George V and VI. In the main unused, however the early period presents a number of used examples. The condition overall is indicative of a selective collector who spent many years hunting out scarce, interesting and fine quality material. The pages are brimming with choice items including sets, specimen sets, blocks of four, varieties and 8 covers. A highly specialised War Stamp section with many overprint errors on various values including among many others the 1916 3 d. purple on lemon "Overprint Inverted" unused (Gi 72aa) and also a decent array of the Silver Jubilee issues in singles and blocks of four with varieties incl. 1935 1 s. slate & purple showing "Short Extra Flagstaff" in unused and used singles as well as in a block of four; 1883 1 s. brown used example variety "$ for S in SHILLING" (Gi 24a) also 1890 Provisional 2½ d. on 4 d. red-brown unused showing "Double Surcharge" with large part og. (Gi 30b). Some imperfections to be expected with such an amount of material, however in the main fine Gi = £ 11'000+..
