Niger Company Territories 1895: 1 d. vermilion postal stationery card, used from Akassa to Lewisham, England dated 29 November 1897, cancelled by violet "THE ROYAL NIGER COMPANY / CHARTERED & LIMITED. / 29 NOV. 97 / / POST OFFICE / AKASSA" rectangular handstamp, with a "PAID / LIVERPOOL / BR: PACKET" maritime transit postmark in red dated 1 January 1898. Handwritten message to back. Corner crease, otherwise fine. A rare usage.
