Auction 333-341 Nigeria, Cameroon, Sudan & Worldwide Postal History - Day 4

1886/1900: Samoa ½ d- purple-brown and 2½ d. rose in a horizontal pair used on registered 1894 combination cover to London tied by APIA / SAMOA circulare datestamps, with USA 3 c. violet and 10 c. deep green (Scott 221+226) cancelled at San Francisco with black oval and "REGISTERED / AUG 31 1894 / SAN FRANCISCO" cachet in red. New York Transit registration label applied over adhesives with transit datestamp (Sept 9) and obverse with London arrivals (Sept 15). Some minor imperfections as to be expected but a scarce usage.
