Venetian Rule 1270-1797 1711/1796:  The collection of Venetian period stampless covers, letters and entire letters (32) to or from Corfu and Cefalonia and Venice, many from the Caragiani correspondence with shipping endorsements, many covers ruined by the application (by Dal Gian) of additional markings incl. VEN. DA. MAR. oval handstamps with the Venetial Lion vignette (it is possible some are genuine) or the spectacular framed Cefalonia forgeries or framed "Lettere / Da Mare" handstamps in black; however a superb and interesting accumulation for the specialist.
