Austrian Shipmail, Ingoing to Constantinople from Beirut 1873 (July 31): Letter sheet to Gera, Germany, endorsed “pr Autrichien”, bearing 1867 Coarse Whiskers 15 so brown, cover despatched directly at the vessel, "ALEXANDRIEN 4 / 8" transit cds on reverse, upon arrival in Constantinople the stamp was tied by fine oval "COL VAPORE DA / BERUTTI" handstamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 103), framed GERA arrival datestamp (23 8 73) on reverse. The adhesive has at one time probably been removed and put back causing some disturbance behind on the cover, nevertheless very rare. Cert. Puschmann (2001).
