1891/1907: Don Carlos I, the Exhibition collection housed in two albums comprising 343 items amounting to over 600 stamps, beautifully mounted on exhibit leaves replete with 1891/92 spectacular Essays including the original head-plate Essays in black with black surround, Essays of the head-plate in red (2), Essays and Proofs of the near completed design without Duty Plates, (2), Die Proofs in black on thick white card (13) and in blue for the 50 r. (1), Plate Proofs for the 5 r. in orange-yellow imperforate incl. a block of twelve, 25 r. in green in blocks of four (2) and of twelve, 50 r. Proofs in various colours on different coloured papers (22), 100 r. Impossble to replicate - a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire this unique collection offered intact including a copy of "Provas e Ensais de Portugal e Colonias" by A.H. de Oliveiras Marques. A spectacular and wonderful collection of great significance to Portuguese philately.
