Lots & Collections, Austrian Courier Office & Lloyd Office in Smirna 1794/1867: The Exhibit collection on leaves (covers/cards 26), with 1794 eentire to London via Vienna Forwarding Agent, 1820 entire to Francomont disinfected at Semlin, 1823 entire to Scotland disinfected at Semlin, 1823 entire disinfected at Semlin with rastel punches and toasted, further disinfected entires from the Francomont coprrespondence, thereafter with covers showing oval "Agenzie Lloyd Austriaco / Smirne" in black or blue (all three types), Austrian Levant 1867 10 s. blue on covers (2) to Larnaca, 1870 cover franked 3 s. green and 25 s. lilac to Naples; 1872 3 s. green and 10 s. blue pair on cover to Genova - these all cancelled by circular  "LLOYD AGENZIE / SMIRNE" cds's (Tchilinghirian fig. 8), covers (7) with variety of frankings all tied by scarce "SPED. POST. PRESSO LLOYD / SMIRNE" cds's in black; cards/covers (4) with fine strikes of scarce "I.R. SPED. POST. PRESSO LLOYD / SMIRNE" datestamps etc. A generally fine and attractive lot.
