Israel Postal History - June 11 1948 Cover mailed from Tel Aviv to a combat soldier Avraham Ziskend stationed in Kiryat Anavim (few miles from Jerusalem) "Kvutzat Haportzim" militry unit. This cover franked 10mil Doar Ivri tabbed stamp. Notations & postmarks as follows - Front : address crossed out with notations " Wounded (in action)..in recovery vacation".."Wounded". Label with hand notation "return to sender..in recovery Battalion 4 Hadera". Box handstamp " Military post # 171.." (171 was Navy H.Q). Back side with Jerusalem military postmarks of "Misrad (office) 5"  dated July 3 & July 13 1948 alongside additional military postmarks of Misrad 15 (Tel Hashomer Military Hospital) December 2 1948, Military office for unknown return letters December 3 1948 & Misrad 4 (Haifa) December 10 1948. Cover with repaired upper back flap & upper front. F-VF & scarce historical cover.
