1948 Jerusalem 1st convoy mail: comm cv to civilian in TLV return addressed "Sherut Yael" (Yael Taxi service) in J'LEM, franked 35m using 10m + 25m 2nd local issue stamps (Ba105/106) on 3rd day of use tied by single strike violet interim pmk & 2 strikes of 12 MAY 1948 dater. Overfranked possibly due to extra weight, J'lem limited to local issue denominations. As non-reg. letter, no backstamps but probably carried by 1st convoy of 18 June; scarce as such. Cut open at left. Est. value $230+
