Welcome to our 37th Auction. The results of our 36th Auction, were excellent and show a steady market eager for better items in most specialties. Apart from the usual philatelic and numismatic sections we offer expanded sections of Judaica, Zionism and books. We open this Auction with Dr. Robert Pildes's Gold Award collection: The 1948 Interim and the Besieged Cities followed by the Werner M. Bohne collection: Judaica, Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Part I. Included are a 1st part of a Doar Ivri specialized collection, Ephraim Margolin's 2nd part of J.N.F. Proofs & Issues and the Signed Photos from the Tuvia Friedman Archive. Regency-Superior is the Official Auctioneer for the St. Louis Stamp Expo 2012 – a premier philatelic exhibition located in St. Louis, Missouri at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel. The show will be held Friday through Sunday, March 16-18th, with viewing right on the show floor. The auction starts with USA coins and banknotes. The auction has nearly 3,000 lots of better USA and Worldwide stamps, covers, and box lots featuring a nice run of Classics through the Back of Book, including a great selection of EFOs, plate blocks, plus an incredible mint sheet holding, including a full set of the Louisiana Purchase sheets. A large section of USA and All world lots and collections including Topicals.

Auction 285 has 3811 lots catering for all types of collectors & dealers - from bulk accumulations and intact collections to desirable single items. This auction offers a huge range of material, with special emphasis on lotting stamps to cater for collectors with varying types of interests and budgets. Items range from $30 to $30,000 so there's something for everybody. This auction offers strong representation of Australia & Colonies, strong British Empire material of all areas & periods, as well as General Foreign including small and large collections. There are over 300 lots of Australian Collections (LOT 125-440) and almost 400 lots of World collections (LOT 441 - 832). A selection of coins and banknotes are also offered.

The auction includes as always also a lot of worldwide postal history, mainly in intact lots and collections and also as single items. Foreign section has a strong part of Russia (lots 881-1050). Scandinavia is well represented with several top items in very fine condition. There is also a good selection of Germany with Colonies and other areas (639-850) and Estonia (1051-1086). The sale also includes nice untouched collections from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Switzerland, Württemberg, China, Ecuador, Europa Cept, Diana, Scouts and from many others. There are also several top items of Finnish philately available in this auction; 45 items of the 1856 Oval issue (1193-1238) with extremely nice and rare covers and singles (unused/used) both 5 and 10 kop. 1860-66 section has many nice covers to abroad, including a rare wrapper with 8 penni to France 1873. From the 1875-85 issues we can introduce several tête-bêches and many other interesting items. The whole variety of the philately of Finland is included with sought after varieties and many remarkable lots and collections. Last but not least we can mention three rare items with Zeppelin 1830 error: single, block of four and block of 9 all in very fine condition.
