1945. Rare V1 leaflet for Allied troops "Medical Bulletin From Stalag XII A" describing an Allied bomb attack on an Allied POW camp in Germany (obviously a mistake). Conditions of some of the injured survivors are given individually, along with a description of the heroic medical work of the German medical staff. Wrinkled, with tape stain, marginal tears, etc. A rare V1 leaflet with provenance from the Joseph Nagl Jr collection cited in Auckland's work 'V1 Rocket Propaganda Leaflets' -- this leaflet is the actual item illustrated in the book. Date of the find: early 1945 - site of the find: Belgium/Netherlands - flown with V1. 2-side leaflet with print on both sides informing about the Allied air raid on 23.12.1944 on the P.O.W. camp Stalag XII A near Limburg/Lahn. During the air raid 55 prisoners were killed and more than 100 were injured. The leaflet also contains 10 letters of Dr. Schmidt-Schwarzenberg, head surgeon of the camp, to the relatives of wounded prisoners with the request to the finder to copy the letters and send them to the listed addresses and that the original letters are being sent through the Red Cross in the usual mail channel.
