Wrought iron, reputed by vendor to have come from the Port Arthur Penal Establishment, Tasmania. Light, punch engraved letters or numbers to the double-hole flange, single 'L' section tine showing much use. The design & size are certainly consistent with penal usage & possibly a product of the prison foundry. Sadly with no supporting provenance.
