IONIAN ISLANDS: Set of two medals (1966) commemorating the Order of Knights of St. Dennis of Zante. "50 ASPRA" in copper-nickel & "100 ASPRA" in silver-plated copper-nickel or low in silver content. On the obverse of the 50 Aspra there is an allegorical scene with Iason (Greek mythology) & on the 100 Aspra there is St Dennis. On the reverse of both medals, there is a double-headed eagle in front of cross surrounded by the legend "ΤΑΓΜΑ ΙΠΠΟΤΩΝ ΑΓΙΟΥ ΔΙΟΝΥΣΙΟΥ ΖΑΚΥΝΘΟΥ". Serial number of the 100 Aspra: "1571". Diameters: 32mm & 39mm. Weights: 16,6gr & 22,5gr. (X #1 & X #2). Proof.
