Auction #483 Coins, Medals & Banknotes

1 new Obol (1849) in copper, die breaks on the first "O" of "ΙΟΝΙΚΟΝ" and between "T" and "O" of "ΚΡΑΤΟΣ", var. "1" and "8" of the date are double struck and "4" is triple struck (Very interesting and unusual var.), dot close to date, small strikes on the perimeter & slightly corroded. (Hellas I.22). Almost Extra Fine.
