1861: Swan 6 d. purple-brown, clean cut perf. 14-16, tied to 1863 mourning envelope to Lambeth, England tied by "1" numeral obliterator with "PERTH / WESTERN AUSTRALIA" despatch cds at left (Dec 24). London arrival cds (Feb 19, 1864) in red on reverse of a slightly soiled but attractive cover.rn 

1864/79: Recess by De La Rue from Perkins Bacon plates, imperforate Colour Trial Proofs in horizontal pairs, on wmk. Swan sideways paper, for the 1 d. bistre, 6 d. violet (sheet marginal at left) and 1 s. in emerald-green, all with good margins, fresh and very fine, part to large part og. 1882/85: 6 d. lilac, wmk. Crown CA, perf. 14, used on 1890 registered cover to Guildford tied by bold strike of "PERTH / WESTERN AUSTRALIA / GPO" duplex (June 13) in black. Underpaid on despatch and struck with framed "DEFICIENT POSTAGE / FINE "2d. to pay." with due amount in manuscript. Guildford arrival (same day) on reverse. Some sensible repair to envelope, a scarce and attractive cover.rn 

1898/1907: De La Rue ½ d. green, wmk. wide Crown CA, an Imperforate block of eight from the Imprimatur sheet, corner marginal from lower right of sheet with handstamped marginal date "16 JUN 99" and manuscript "Rec'd from CA Officer" alongside in margin; fresh and very fine appearance, corner creased in margin only, unmounted og. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" on page 6842 (as a sheet of 120). A rare and most appealing multiple....

Reverse with Perth duplex (June 25) and Colchester arrival cds (July 30). The sole recorded cover bearing the "19" numeral obliterator of Preston.rn
