1861 (Nov 28): Entire letter written from Campeche, Mexico to Barcelona, carried by hand / consignee's letter to Havana, Cuba where mailed with 1857 1 r. pale yellow-green (Edifil 8), no wmk., imperforate with good margins all round, tied by horizontal barred obliterator and by under-inked cds. 1914: Map Issue, Complete set of eight values, 1 c. to $1, in corner marginal imperforate pairs (Scott 253-262) some browning of gum although very impressive (Scott = $1'500). Foreign Post Offices in Ecuador 1873: French Consular Mail 80 c. Ceres Type, rose on pinkish paper, used with an octagonal French paquebot cancel 'GUAYAQUIL 24 SEPT. 73'. It has a couple of small thins but features a scarce cancel. According to a Moorhouse certificate, it is genuine and documents a short-lived Pacific coast service that operated from April 1872 to February 1874. 1874: British Post Office Guayaquil,  5/- pale rose, plate 2, Watermark 'Maltese Cross', with good clear barred oval 'C41' cancel of the Post Office in Guayaquil. Well centred. Certificate Moorhouse (2009). A very appealing example. Stanley Gibbons = £ 600.

Issued Stamps 1897: 2 c. stationery postcard uprated with 1 c. Liberal Party, overprinted with 'CORREOS PROVISIONALES' featuring arms (Scott 122). This combination is scarce on circulated mail, the card bears the marking 'SEA-POST OFFICE AU 30 97.' It is addressed to Bombay, India - an exceptionally unusual destination!
