Auction 333-341 Europe & Overseas Americas (North, Central & South America) - Day 1

1857/65: Santiago P.O. printings, 10 c. sky-blue, wmk. 1, a used horizontal strip of five with good to large margins all round, just clear at lower left corner and showing portions of four adjoining stamps at base, cancelled by target handstamps in black. Slightest thin on fifth stamp not affecting the appearance of a very scarce multiple: when one sees the space between the stamps on this printing, it is remarkable that four margin multiples exist at all.
