Attica, Athens. Silver Tetradrachm (17.0 g), ca. 168/5-50 BC. New Style issue. Ca. 152/1 BC. Head of Athena right, wearing triple crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos springing right. Reverse A-ΘE, owl standing right, head facing, on overturned amphora; across field, magistrate's names in monogram form; uncertain letter on amphora; all within laurel wreath. Thomspn 55 (same obv. die). Rare. A lovely, lightly toned example of excellent style. Extremely Fine.
