Our next Coins & Banknotes Auction will now take place at 12 noon on Friday 28th October 2016. There are 3767 lots catering for all types of collectors with varying types of interests and budgets. There are many desirable single items as well as collections and mixed lots. Items range from $30 to $50,000 so there's something for everybody.

This catalogue contains a great selection of Australian coins including Australian Shipwrecks, Proclamation coins, Dump and Adelaide Assay Office Coins, Gold Sovereigns and Half-Sovereigns, pre-decimal coins and Proofs,  RAM , Perth Mint and NPA products. There are many highlights in the Australian Coins including an Australian 1921 KGV Square Kookaburra Penny 4.21g. McD Type 12, Ren Type 11a Charcoal-grey tone gEF. Very rare & much sought after. Reserve $24,000 (Lot 8282). Also includes 4 Australian 1930 Pennies from grades Fine to gVery fine. Reserves are  $14,000, $16,000, $17,000 and $24,000. (Lot s  8720, 8721, 8722 and 8723).  In the Australian Banknotes section, include Pre-Federation, Pre- decimal, decimal, Starnotes, Varieties  Including a range of rare Misprints. This sale includes a rare £5 Collins-Allen V431134. Last prefix. Radar serial number VF+, with nice original body, R-36bL. Seldom seen. Very rare note in this grade.  Reserve $10,000 (Lot 9600).   

World coins and banknotes, including Gold, silver and copper coins, medals and World Banknotes. In the World Coins is a Brazil: 1732M Joao V 12800 Reis or Johanna gVF. KM-139. Rare. RARE  Reserve $6,000 (Lot  8216).  Also  in the world banknote section is  a  Boer War - Cape Colony: 1902 Upington Border Scouts £2 dated "1.2.1902", serial number "S41", black and red ink on pale grey cloth. With black h/s "ISSUED BY PAYMASTER B.S.UPINGTON" at top & h/s of the Border Scout arms at left with jackal in circular frame & crown above, manuscript text at centre "received from OCBS the sum of two pounds for pay J Birkbeck Major OC". Extremely fine condition for this. P-S715a listed but unpriced. Great rarity of significant historical interest. 2016 Ceremuga certificate of authenticity. Reserve $4,000 (Lot  10491).
