1915, internment camp Haitien (Chihli province): card junk 1 C. light green used as POW form, camp Haitien/Chihli in 1919, boxed violet bilingual "Correspondance des/Prisonniers de Guerre" and a clear strike of the scarce oval bilingual chinese-german (1) censor mark "INTERNIERUNGSLAGER HAITIEN / censorship passed / Haitien prisoners camp" w. boxed "Chihli Haitien 8.6.18" (June 18, 1919) via "PEKING 19 JUN 19" to Netherlands (red handwritten in characters on imprint) Red Cross Den Haag with 3-line-mark of "Dutch Red Cross / Information Office / Lage Voorhout 6, Den Haag" in red on reverse and fwd. "S'GRAVENHAAGE 15 VIII 1919" to Hamburg/Germany, private handwritten entry note "18/8" on reverse. German senders message inc. receipt note of mail dated April 12. - Mail service to Germany not yet reopened, hence routing via Netherlands necessary. Top slight bend, a well travelled card, rarity.
