1865, 40c. orange "Empire dt", single franking on registered wrapper, oblit. by GC "105" and c.d.s. "ANGOULEME 6 JUIL 65" alongside, addressed to Rouillac with arrival marks 7./8.7.65 and refused, redirected to Paris with transit mark "BORDEAUX A PARIS 10 JUIL 65" and red Paris Rebuts 12.7.65, on front boxed "APRES / DE / DEPART", postage due mark "30" (this and registration mark/despatch marks cancelled). Rare and unusual - initially a short distance mail over 25 km and finally sent nearly through the whole country over a distance of 450 km and retour! (Maury 23)
