1918, collection of 118 imperforate essays for the 1st definitve issue of Poland, all of them showing inscription "Krolestwo Polskie", since a kingdom was intended to be the form of governement of the prospective Polish state. To create the first Polish stamps an artist's competition was set in place for which 32 artists were invited to hand in their proposals. These were issued in 4 booklets showing the artwork in the colours green, blue, brown and black (one colour for each booklet only). An attractive and rare collection, neatly arranged on album pages!
