Chalons 1857/69: 1 d. brick-red, three examples, used with 1860/67 6 d. grey, margins touched to fair, tied to 1863 cover to Fife, Scotland endorsed "via Marseilles" by "6" numeral obliterators of Bothwell in black with Postmaster's endorsement "Bothwell 22.7.63" in manuscript at left. Two line "INSUFFICIENTLY / STAMPED" in black and Fife arrival cds on obverse (Sept 19) but not charged due. Reverse with Launceston transit (July 23).
