1872/79: General Issue Cérès 5 c. green on blued and Type Sage 20 c. brown-lilac on straw, 5 c. very fine, the 20 c. touched at left, used on 1880 entire letter to Marseille endorsed "per Bombay & Brindisi" tied by "INDE / PONDICHERY" circular datestamps (May 5). Carried on P&O "Venetia" to Alexandria and the "Siam" from Alexandria to Marseille with arrival cds on reverse (May 25). A fresh and attractive entire. Signed Baudot.
