Overprinted on Transvaal in Pretoria 1889/90: Transvaal 1 d. carmine, 2 d. olive-bistre and 1 s. green, perf. 12½ x 12, with ½ d. grey and 6 d. blue, perf. 12½, overprinted in black; used with 1892 ½ d. grey overprinted in carmine on 1893 registered "Duiven - Van Gorcum" cover to Assen, Holland tied by "Bremersdorp" squared circle datestamps (April 24) in black. Reverse with Johannesburg registration cachet, oval Cape Town transit in red (May 3) and Assen arrivals. Some aging and faults to the envelope but a remarkable and attractive five colour franking.
