1891 (11 Oct.): Cover from Curepipe Road to Aubervilliers, France, endorsed "Par Vapeur des Messageries Maritimes", bearing a fresh strip of four 1885 4 c. carmine in vivid colour, each adhesive tied by oval '37' barred numeral, matching clear D2 "CUREPIPE ROAD" despatch cds on reverse as well as MAURITIUS transit cds of Port Louis. Front struck by perfect French "LIGNE T / PAQ. FR. No.4 16 OCT 91" shipmail cds in red, reverse with AUBERVILLIERS arrival (2 Nov) cds. A most appealing cover, the multiple overpaying the 15 c. rate by 1 cent.
