1867: Perkins Bacon Plate Proofs for the 5 c. red, taken from the original plates, printed by the Chilean Mint on Chilean Coat of Arms paper, a single example with part italic sheet marginal imprint (and also showing plate scratch in margin); a block of four in a pale 'dusty' red shade on ribbed paper and a scarce block of eight (4 x 2) pulled from the Perkins Bacon second plate with 'quadrille' impression (positions 183-187 / 195-199); this last ex collection Walters.
