1867: 5 c. red, a vertical pair and a horizontal strip of four, used on 16 July 1868 entire letter to New York paying the double rate as far as Panama and cancelled in brown by half-round obliterators; three line dated PANAMA / TRANSIT in black (Aug 3) and struck on arrival with Depreciated Curreny "NEW YORK / U.S. NOTES / 34" cds (Aug 15) in black. File fold crosses the horizontal strip but an attractive and scarce usage.
